«Lo que pasa en tu iPhone se queda en tu iPhone».
What happens on your iPhone stays on your iPhone.
The short version: Pokito collects nothing about you. There’s no account, no ads and no tracking, and your learning never leaves your iPhone.
What stays on your iPhone
Everything you do in Pokito is stored on your device, and only there:
- your progress: the words and rules you’ve practised, your answers, your streak and your level;
- your settings, and your name if you give it;
- the Spanish voice, and the audio it has read aloud for you.
Your iPhone’s own backups (iCloud Backup or a computer) include your progress, as they do for any app. Apple keeps those backups under its own privacy policy; we can’t see them.
What leaves it
One download. The first time, Pokito fetches its Spanish voice (about 267 MB) from Hugging Face, where the voice model is published. As with any download, their servers see your device’s IP address for that request. Nothing about you or your learning is sent.
Until that download finishes, or if you turn on Profile → Use system voice, Apple’s built-in voice reads instead, on your iPhone.
What we don’t do
- No account, no sign-in, no email address.
- No analytics, tracking or advertising code in the app.
- We don’t sell or share data. We don’t have any to share.
Reminders and the Lock Screen
The daily reminder is a notification your iPhone schedules for itself; no server sends it. The Lock Screen widget shows your streak and the word of the day from a small snapshot the app keeps on your iPhone.
Crash reports
If you’ve turned on Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. That switch is Apple’s, and you can turn it off at any time.
Deleting your data
Profile → Reset progress starts every word, rule and streak day again from zero; your settings stay. Deleting the app removes everything it stored, the voice included.
Children
Pokito is made for adults. It collects nothing from anyone, children included.
This website
No cookies and no analytics. The fonts and pictures come from this site. The speaker buttons use your browser’s own speech, and some browsers send that text to their maker’s speech service.
Changes and questions
If Pokito ever needs your data for something, a sync between your devices for example, this page will say so first, with a new date at the top.
